Montreal, January 14th, 2019 (or date can change depending on Press date) We wish to welcome “ROOM 1742”, Alternative Rock Band from Montreal, Canada to our Label; “Miss Bean Musique” Featuring; Franco Petrillo (Bass), Jimmy Cuffaro (Drums), Dino Farina (Vocals) and Pat Sacco (Guitar) ROOM 1742’s debut album “Full Moon Rise” will be distributed on Digital and CD format via Plage Musique, a Division of Propagande Distribution.
History of the band – The members of Room 1742 shared a taste in musical styles ranging from Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers to Classic Rock like Led Zeppelin, Rollings Stones & The Beatles. It gave them a basis to start rehearsing and putting together shows covering the best Rock Classics.
Their common admiration for John Lennon’s work, and one of the greatest Peace Songs ever written, performed and recorded at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel, Montreal in Room 1742.
It was decided the band would adopt the name “ROOM 1742” as token of appreciation to John Lennon, who helped put Montreal on the World Musical Map, and also ensuring we forever kept his memory alive.
As fate would have it, the album’s release in 2019, will be the 50th Anniversary of John Lennon’s “Montreal Bed-In for Peace”, in Room 1742.
The beginning of the album – “Full Moon Rise” Upon spending many hours in their rehearsal studio practicing, it was evident that all members had fresh talent, worked well together and were ready to start creating their own original songs.
Each member had a critical role in the creation of this album. At times basic notes were laid down on Bass by Franco Petrillo or Guitar by Pat Sacco. Building upon that was Jimmy Cuffaro on Drums And finally Diego Farina would put pen to paper and give us powerful Vocal presentation.
Finally upon entering “Vortex Recording Studio” with Producer / Engineer Mario Iannacci (Stéphane Parenteau, Matthieu Léveillé, Giorgia Fumanti ), the songs were carefully crafted, recorded, mixed and mastered over the course of 18 months of hard work to become “New Rock Classics”.
